To provide an alternative to the current eating habits that society has imposed on us. Our food cooperative serves the needs of our community and the environment by providing organic food for a healthier way of living at wholesale costs. Our purpose is to educate students, faculty and those around us on the benefits of organic food, organic products and the importance of social and environmental justice. Furthermore, we hope to inspire people to become a part of sustainable communities. Lastly, we support and help the poor and those most fragile life forms that are part of Creation.
In 2006 four Global Leadership students at Saint Thomas University under the direction of a faculty member motivated by the desire to provide the community with sustainable practices developed the idea and the Mission of Flavors of Nature. Since then, other students have followed and presently continue the work of Flavors of Nature.
